History & Business Administration Instructor
Stephen is member of the History Department at Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC). He has a Master of Arts in History (concentration in United States History, minor in European History) from the University of Texas in San Antonio and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (concentration in early United States History) from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He has a juris doctor (JD) from Southern Methodist University School of Law. In addition, he has a Bachelor of Arts in History, minor in Classics (Greek and Roman) from the University of Texas at Austin.
Stephen taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio and several other colleges in Texas for eight years before moving to CGCC in the summer of 2009. He teaches a variety of courses, including the History of United States and US History from colonial times until the present. He also teaches courses in the Business department, including Business Law and Business Ethics. Stephen serves as the Career & Technical Education Department Chair.
Prior to teaching, Stephen practiced law in Dallas, Texas handling over a thousand cases including family law, criminal law and various business matters, including dozens of jury trials.
