Faculty Excellence Award
Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC), in cooperation with the Columbia Gorge Community College Foundation, gives a Faculty Excellence Award each year to honor excellence among its many dedicated instructors. This award will go to an instructor who embodies our college mission of building dreams and transforming lives by making a difference both inside and outside the classroom.
Any part-time or full-time faculty employed one or more terms during the current academic year at CGCC is eligible for the award. A recipient of the award will not be eligible to win the award in two consecutive years.
Faculty members who are part of the award selection committee are not eligible for the award.
Nomination forms are due May 1. The selection committee will meet to review the nomination forms to verify they meet the Faculty Excellence Award Criteria and choose the recipient during weeks six or seven of the 2016 spring term. The recipient will be informed of the committee’s decision in advance of the award presentation at the college graduation ceremony.

The recipient will receive a plaque, a $500 award from the College Foundation to be used either for a professional development activity of the recipient’s choice or as a one-time cash award, and a revolving plaque will be displayed by the Class Act Café at CGCC.
