$1,000 Scholarship Opportunity for Oregon Residents

The Oregon Chapter of the American Backflow Prevention Association (ABPA) is pleased to announce a contribution of $1,000 for the Harrington/Arthur Memorial Scholarship. The Harrington/Arthur Memorial Scholarship is sponsored by the National ABPA, which awards a $1,000 scholarship to the winner of their annual essay competition. The Oregon Chapter's contribution is designated specifically for Oregon resident students and will be awarded in addition to a National candidate.

Essay and official entry form must be received by midnight January 1st of each year. This competition is open to all students between the ages of 13 and under 20 years old, as of December 31, 2013. 2014 Topic: Contact your local state or city and outline their cross-connection or backflow program and how it is administered. Explain whether you feel it is adequate or not and why. Explain if and how it could it be improved.
