Course Description

Introduces the basic features of Adobe Fireworks. Includes basic drawing and photo manipulation tools and creation of graphics for websites. Recommended: placement into RD 115 and WR 115. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Understand the different applications of vector and bitmap imaging.
  2. Interface images to screen-based applications for the Web such as Adobe Photoshop.
  3. Apply drawing and photo-manipulation tools for the creation and editing of graphic images.

Outcome Assessment Strategies

Assessment may include:  Projects with original work could include flyer, brochure, poster, newsletter, and/or web page design. Journals, group discussions about design and design software, objective tests and quizzes.
