Clay McCrea was born and raised in central Oregon and has lived in the Columbia Gorge for the last 25 years. He joined the Fire Service out of high school, and currently holds the rank of Captain with the Hood River Fire Department.
Clay became an EMT through Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) 20 years ago, and besides being an Oregon Paramedic, he holds numerous fire certifications through the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training. Clay has been teaching EMT courses for CGCC for the last 13 years.
When not spending time with his two teenagers or working around the home, you can usually find Clay fishing for steelhead, watching sports, or playing the occasional golf game. Just recently he decided to work on obtaining his degree in Fire Science, and has two classes before finishing. Clay is the EMS Coordinator for CGCC.
