Important Changes in Parent Referrals

July 6, 2016

The Early Learning Division supports all of Oregon’s young children and families to learn and thrive.  We have the opportunity for better collaboration and expanded options for parents looking for supportive child care for their children by combining services with a respected community organization. Starting July, 2016, child care referrals will be provided by 211Info, guide to health and social services in Oregon.

Currently, Child Care Partners supports child care referrals for your community and we are not going away. Our primary focus will now be professional development for child care providers and we will still offer support when needed.

211Info will provide child care referrals along with other referrals for comprehensive services. As a trusted organization for updated information that supports families, 211Info is positioned to serve all segments of the population, including people experiencing poverty, professionals seeking resources for clients, individuals looking for rapid assistance in navigating early learning and health care systems and partner agencies working on network efficiencies.

211info provides free guidance and information about:

  • Child care
  • Behavioral strategies
  • School readiness and tips
  • Early Childhood development
  • Family stress and anxiety
  • Parenting classes and support
  • Local play groups
  • Foster care support
  • Basic family resources…and much more!

211 will be open and available from 7am to 11pm, Monday – Friday and 8am – 8pm Saturday and Sunday, with multilingual services available!
