Sasha came to the United States as an international student from a small Central Asian country of Tajikistan, when she was 18 years old. Currently, she lives with her husband in Hood River, where they moved in the summer of 2008 from Monterey, California. They enjoy this small, cozy town with its unique, fantastic community! They like to spend time outdoors: biking, hiking, backpacking and simply walking. Hood River is truly a perfect place for it, with its fresh air and breath-taking views.
Sasha is teaching an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) class at the Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) campus in Hood River. She couldn't ask for better students and faculty members to work with. She loves her students and every time they meet, she hopes to inspire them in their language-learning quest. She considers herself lucky to be a part of CGCC, Hood River and the United States community.
