Step 1 - Complete CGCC Admissions Form
The Dalles Campus, Building 2, 541-506-6011 or Hood River-Indian Creek Campus, 541-308-8211.
Step 2 – Apply for Financial Aid (optional step)
Apply at www.fafsa.gov. Check Student Services and the CGCC website for scholarship information. Check your CGCC student email account to complete required paperwork.
Step 3 – Take the Placement Assessment
Your selection of classes is based on the results of a free placement assessment. Call Student Services at 541-506-6011 in The Dalles or 541-308-8211 in Hood River to sign up.
Step 4 - Attend Group Advising
Meet other new students, prepare to register, and learn about resources available to you. Sign up with Student Services.
Step 5 – Register for Classes and Pay Tuition
Check the Registration Priority Schedule below to determine when you can register. Go to the CGCC website at www.cgcc.cc.or.us. Select myCGCC (Student Online Services) and follow the instructions. If you do not have internet access, you may use the computers at The Dalles Campus or the Hood River Center. Tuition and fees must be paid in full or by installment by the deadline. See the Financial Matters area for payment policies and procedures.

Step 7 - Attend Class/Create a Moodle account
TRADITIONAL OR HYBRID COURSES: Students registered in a traditional or hybird course are expected to attend all class meetings of their courses, beginning with the first class. Please review the attendance policy on page 28 of the class schedule for more information.
ONLINE COURSES: Students registered in an online class must create a Moodle account before the first day of the term to access online courses. See the Distance Education page of the class schedule for more information.
Students are expected to attend all classes in which they are enrolled. Unless you have made prior arrangements with your instructor, you may be dropped from the class roster if you do not attend the first class session. However, you are responsible for formally dropping your class even if you don't attend. If you fail to drop during the refund period, you will be responsible for the charges. If you have excessive absences and fail to drop or withdraw from class by the deadlines, a grade of F may be assigned at the end of the term. Any changes to your registration must be done through myCGCC (Student Online Services).
