| Registration NEW HOURS FOR STUDENT SERVICES AT THE DALLES CAMPUS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2010: Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 6:00pm Friday, 8:00am - 12:00pm Student Services in The Dalles and Hood River will be closed Thursday, September 2nd for staff training. Step 1 – Access your Program Planner Go to the Student Online Services & Registration button and follow the instructions to log in. Your Program Planner is a selection on the Student Resources menu. Review the courses that you and your advisor have planned for you to take and insure that you are approved to register (your status is in red at the top of the page). If your "OK to register" has expired, make an appointment with an advisor well before registration begins. Together you will plan your courses and you will receive the "OK to register" for up to one year. Call Student Services at 541-506-6011 or 541-308-8211 to schedule an appointment or come in during the drop-in advising times listed below. Drop-in Advising for Summer Term - June 1 - 10 The Dalles and Hood River - 15 minute sessions - no appointment Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 5: 30 p.m., Friday, 9:00 a.m. - Noon 15 minute sessions - no appointment necessary Step 2 - Register for Classes and Pay Tuition Check the Registration Priority Schedule below to see when you can register. Go to the Student Online Services & Registration button and follow the instructions. If you do not have internet access, you may use the computers at The Dalles Campus or the Hood River-Indian Creek Campus. Tuition and fees must be paid in full or by installment by the deadline. See the Financial Matters area for more information. Registration Priority Schedule Registration priority is based on the number of credits successfully completed at CGCC. It does not include courses attempted or graded "F", "W", "I", "AUD", or "NP" or classes currently in progress. Students may also register on any scheduled registration day or time after their priority day up to the first day of the term.
Step 3 – Meet with a Financial Aid Specialist (Optional Step) The Dalles Campus, Building 2, 541-506-6021 or the Hood River-Indian Creek Campus, 541-308-8211. If applicable, schedule an appointment to discuss your financial aid progress or for assistance with CGCC Foundation scholarships. Step 4 - Purchase Textbooks Bookstore, The Dalles Campus, Building 2, 541-506-6061 Textbook availability dates: Purchase Charge to Financial Aid Summer Term 2010 June 3rd June 18 after 2:00 p.m. Step 5 - Attend Class/Create a Moodle account TRADITIONAL OR HYBRID COURSES: Students registered in a traditional or hybird course are expected to attend all class meetings of their courses, beginning with the first class. Please review the attendance policy on page 5 of the class schedule for more information. ONLINE COURSES: Students registered in an online class must create a Moodle account before the first day of the term to access online courses. See page 9 of the class schedule for more information. Students are expected to attend all classes in which they are enrolled. Unless you have made prior arrangements with your instructor, you may be dropped from the class roster if you do not attend the first class session. However, you are responsible for formally dropping your class even if you don't attend. If you fail to drop during the refund period, you will be responsible for the charges. If you have excessive absences and fail to drop or withdraw from class by the deadlines, a grade of F may be assigned at the end of the term. Any changes to your registration must be done through Student Online Services & Registration.
