Internet Investment Seminar (6/20-6/27) – This class is for the novice investor who is new to investing and on-line trading.  Covered in this seminar will be utilizing the Internet’s resources; trading on the Internet; use of stock and option concepts; basic investment and trading strategies; and managing basic positions.  Become more sophisticated at taking an active role in managing your investment portfolio. CPR for Healthcare Providers-New Providers – The BLS Healthcare Providers Course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO) in responsive and non-responsive victims. The course is designed for healthcare providers who care for patients in a wide variety of settings, both in and out of hospital. CPR-Heartsaver CPR for all ages (8/18) – This course teaches lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child and infant victims. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children. Dental Assisting, Introduction (7/2-8/20) – This is an intensive course giving a general overview of the dental assisting profession. Areas of focus will include prevention of dental disease, chair side techniques, working as part of the dental team, dental anatomy, dental materials, and effective resume writing and interviewing for an entry level dental assisting position. Mountain Boarding Zen & The Art of Surfing The Earth Mountain boarding is much like snowboarding without the snow. Using movements similar to surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding, you can learn to ride boards that are equipped with shocks and have pneumatic tires. We offer trails for all levels, as well as a freestyle Mountain Board Park for those of you who like to work some vertical ramps and huge berms. Paragliding, Introduction – Paragliding is the simplest form of human flight and the lowest priced aircraft that you can buy.  A paraglider is a non-motorized, foot-launched, inflatable wing.  It is easy to transport, launch, and land.  During this program, you will learn about the equipment, how the glider is controlled, glider aerodynamics, meteorology, thermal flying, ridge soaring, flight plans, and how paragliding can be fun and done safely.

Photographer’s Eye (6/22-7/20) – This class is for photographers interested in matters of design, natural light, exposure control, digital aspects. The instructor, who studied with Ansel Adams, will illustrate concepts with the work of master photographers. Participants will be given weekly assignments, classroom exercises and critiques. Bring any camera you plan to use, and examples of work, good or with problems, in print or slide.
