Staff Excellence Award

This year, Columbia Gorge Community College and the Columbia Gorge Community College Foundation will award a Staff Excellence Award to honor excellence among the many dedicated staff members. This annual award will go to a staff member who embodies the Columbia Gorge Community College mission of "...building dreams and transforming lives."  It recognizes outstanding performance and attitude amongst the staff of CGCC. 

PLEASE NOTE: All nominations are due by April 15, 2013. 

Eligibility

Any part-time or full-time staff member employed during the current academic year at Columbia Gorge Community College is eligible for the award, with the exception of the individuals noted below. A recipient of the award will not be eligible to win the award in two consecutive years.

Executive Leadership Team members and staff members on the award selection committee are not eligible for the award.  Dr. Frank Toda, Bill Bohn, Lisa Deswert, Karen Carter, Lori Ufford, Dan Spatz, Robb Van Cleave, Brian Greene, Jean Ewald and Shayna Dahl are not eligible for the award.

Process

Nomination forms are available to the college community via the college website and are due April 15, 2013.  The selection committee will meet to review the nomination forms and choose the recipient during the 2013 spring term. The recipient will be informed of the committee’s decision in advance of the award presentation at the college graduation ceremony.

The Award

The annual award will include a plaque for the staff member, a $500 award from the College Foundation, and a revolving plaque on display at Columbia Gorge Community College.
