Loren teaches career guidance and college success classes in addition to his role as an academic adviser for Columbia Gorge Community College. He received International Studies and Spanish undergraduate degrees at the University of Oregon. He later returned to UofO for a Masters of Education following two years of travel and work both within the U.S. and abroad. He worked for Hood River Valley School district in alternative education for two years prior to coming to the college.
