Associate of Science (AS)

Students who complete this degree should be able to:

1. Communicate effectively orally and in writing, using appropriate listening skills, language, and modality.
2. Creatively solve problems by using discipline-related and relevant methods of research, personal reflection, reasoning, and evaluation of information.
3. Acquire the necessary skills needed to perform the tasks required for either transfer to a four year college program or employment.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of diverse cultural perspectives.
5. Address the consequences of human activity upon our social and natural world through their respective discipline.
6. Transfer into an upper division baccalaureate degree program.
