Assignments

Each week there will be a variety of assignments that will help you navigate the college system and gain a better understanding of the skills necessary to be successful in college. Assignments will be in the following format:

  • Forum Discussion Questions: the instructor will ask a question related to the weekly topic. Students will respond to the question (mandatory) and respond to other students (optional)

Note: The following assignments are in the form of Word documents. These will have to be downloaded and saved to your own computer or device. Once you have worked on them, you will save them to your own computer/device and upload them. Instructions are provided at the top of the course homepage. If you have difficulty with this task, please make an appointment with me (by calling 541-506-6023) so that I can walk you through the process.

  • Short Answer Questions: Some assignments will be in the form of short-answer questions. Many of the answers to these questions will come from self-reflection; others will be found on websites provided.
  • Journals: Some assignments will be in the form of journal entries. Students will be asked specific questions and will be required to reflect on the questions and respond in journal entries
  • The remainder of the assignments will require students to fill out study schedules, time management schedules and self-tests to determine learning style
